Do you want a bright smile?  There are dozens of different products available that promise to give you a bright smile that is whiter and brighter than ever.  These products start with the high end.  In order to get the best bright smile treatment you have to go to the dentist to have them whiten your teeth.  While it is not a long process there are some chemicals involved in the mix that are safer when applied by someone who has training.   These treatments will keep your bright smile longer than the products you can buy on the shelf at the pharmacy.   These products range from whitening strips that promise a bright smile if you just apply the strips every day for two weeks and it will remove coffee, nicotine and wine stains to give that bright smile.  On the low end are tooth pastes or gels that promise over long term use they will whiten your bright smile.

What makes a Real Bright Smile

I think that a real bright smile involves some dental care of keeping your teeth clean and maintained but the real issue of the a bright smile has to do with a persons internal joy and satisfaction with life.  I have seen some people who have clearly had the best dental surgery and high end teeth whitening and they do not have a bright smile at all.  In fact I would say that even with a big smile that their face dulls the smile completely.  On the other hand I have met some people who have never spent a dime on teeth whitening and when they smile the brightness of their smile radiates and lights up whole rooms with the joy that radiates from their heart.  I really think that is what Josh Ritter is singing about in his music video for Bright Smile.  He is not making an advertisement for Dental Care or Colgate’s teeth whitening system.  He is talking about a person’s bright smile that can melt your heart. A true bright smile starts in a person’s heart and shines through their eyes and makes their smile electric.
